Save the date for our next two South Burlington Recreation Classes:

Wednesday, March 26th (2025) from 6-8PM:

This class (more thorough class description TBD, picture to right) will be a good fit for adults and older kiddos who want to learn the basics of color theory and using pallet knives to paint on cakes! This technique is both relaxing and will get your creative juices flowing - with a brand new technique to decorate cakes. We will be using mini cakes that have been pre-frosted so you can focus on learning the art of pallet knife painting with buttercream.

Wednesday, May 7th (2025) from 6-8 PM:

This class (more thorough class description and pictures TBD) will be a great fit for any age, but geared towards kids with a grown up partner! We will have a simplified lesson and time to decorate mini cakes for a fantastic activity for the whole family. Tickets include one child-adult pair, and additional kids can be added for $20. A perfect Mother’s Day activity, but any and all pairs are welcome!

Both classes will be held at the South Burlington Senior Center, and registration is through the South Burlington Recreation department (registration not currently open for these classes, check back soon!).

Decorate-it-Yourself Kits

Want to dive into cake decorating on your own time, but not sure where or how to start?

We will have seasonal/holiday DIY kits available for purchase, or we can tailor-make a DIY kit for your event! Bridal showers, birthday parties, gender-reveal parties, or anything you can think of to celebrate by decorating your own cake or mini-cakes. Reach out for custom DIY kits*, and check our online store often to see what we have ready to order!

*Minimum 5 kits for custom orders, Valentines kit has no minimum!

About Cake Decorating Classes

Community Classes

We have partnered with the Williston and South Burlington Recreation Department to provide cake decorating classes for the community! These classes have been a blast and a half, where folks of all ages and skill levels can come together to either learn or brush up on basic cake decorating techniques. Check the town recreation websites to register.

Looking for something new to do with a small crowd? Let us take the cake! We will come and do a hands-on cake decorating lesson, tailored to your goals!

The way the classes are structured is flexible: for younger kids, we can provide mini cakes, or 6” cakes pre-iced to minimize frustration and optimize fun. Or for those looking for more of a challenge, we can provide the tools and instruction necessary for participants to do the whole thing on their own, learn new skills and have a blast in the process!
